Don't sell on a negative, a very wise brother-in-law once said to us. Their advice came after they were reading some words we had put together describing a product that was entirely British made. We were quite honestly just trying to get across the point that software is quite often nowadays made in far away lands and that ultimately that would lead to UK pounds going out of the country along with UK I.T. opportunities.
Our words seemed to us to be honest and factful but in hindsight perhaps a little naive. In the end we were convinced by our reviewers argument that they may be construed or interpreted to be too negative and may portray us in a less than favourable light. After some deliberation we took their point and changed the marketing text to instead highlight the origins of that software product instead of the potentially negative aspects of overseas produced and supported software.
As everything seems to be about circles we find ourselves at a similar juncture now. So we'll leave it up to you to make your own mind up whether or not it's better for you to try to buy British whenever you can. Based in Ongar, Essex we have been developing web site software for the last 19 years and our product is 100% British made and operates entirely from within Britain.
Obviously the more we all pull together the quicker we can get our country prosperous again and back on it's feet.
